Just hearing the name makes us spring up in joy. Trek to Triund under the Dhauladhars, lose an afternoon in the Illiterati book café, and catch a show at the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts. This little mountain town rewards the slow visitor.
India
The sweetest state in India — we say that with our whole chest. History and culture run deeper here than almost anywhere, and it's one of our favourite low-budget journeys: your rupee stretches, the food alone is worth the train ticket.
France
A picturesque dream spread along the banks of the Seine. Paris glitters, but the way to love it is slowly — walk it, take the Métro, buy bread, sit by the river. The city rewards travelers who don't rush.
Spain
Two thousand years old and still showing off. Gaudí's Sagrada Família, the lanes of the Gothic Quarter, La Rambla ending at the sea — stay central, walk everywhere, eat late like the locals do.
Singapore
The island city-state wears a certain sheen of wealth — chic malls, luxury hotels, fine dining. Our favourite part is different: almost all of it is walkable or a train ride away. No car needed, ever.
UAE
We took the family and came back converted. Dubai does stellar hospitality and big adventure like nowhere else — go beyond the malls and give the old creek and the desert at dawn a full day each.
